The holidays are in full swing and Fallingstar is fully immersed in creating new wallpaper designs and we are beyond excited to announce the launch of our textile collection in the new year!
Since forming our collective over a year ago, we debuted our first wallpaper in September. One standout contributor is Michael Evert, creator of our “Willow” pattern.
An NYC portrait sculptor since 1981, Michael has worked with Ralph Pucci and the Museum of Arts and Design, sculpting fashion models and interpreting 2D art into 3D forms. He now collaborates with Fallingstar to bring his artistry to wallpaper design.
We love Michael’s work because it merges the traditional and the contemporary, is sophisticated yet still whimsical, and is captivating to the viewer. “Willow”, Michael’s first pattern for Fallingstar, embodies these qualities in its idiosyncratic interpretation of traditional Chinoiserie and Delft ceramics.
