Laly Gallantz (1939-2011) was an accomplished painter who lived and worked in New York City. Several of her still life paintings were exhibited in public spaces around New York. She was married to famed sports lawyer, George Gallantz, who was most known for overseeing the merger between the NBA and the ABA in 1976. This painting was found in the studio of fellow artist June Silverberg.
